Synopsis:
Can she overcome her consuming desire for him?
Can he make her comfortable with the other C-word…commitment?
Marley Mason is dreading the arrival of the new
business consultant. After all, this man will most likely outsource her job to
China. The last thing she would expect is a case of mistaken identity, leading
to false accusations of kidnapping when she attempts to pick up the wrong man
at the airport, or worse…that she would have such a visceral reaction to the
right man.
Rick Randy is super sexy, scandalously flirty,
and perfect masturbation material, but a relationship is out of the question.
Rick is contracted on a temporary basis to fix Marley’s ailing company, and
then pull out, although as he expresses to Marley, pulling out is difficult for
him, in more ways than one! Marley’s feelings range from utter confusion to
intense contemplation as Rick charms his way into her life. All of those
C-words Marley can control, but it’s the other C-word she fears—commitment.

Darra's Review:
This book had the funniest first chapter. Seriously, Randy eh?! Note to self, do not hold up signs in front of old men. (Laughing right now) I have to say that Marley can run over any man. All she wants is to keep everything simple and temporary. Long term is not what she does. However Rick, oh Rick. He comes walking in her life and she tries her best to stay away from him.
What can I say, you just can't stay away from a hot guy in a nice suit. He is a little bit of a ego and smartass. But you love him. He makes you smile. Which makes it awkward me smiling at my nook and my Husband looking at me as if I am crazy. Regardless, he becomes the guy that tears down her wall. And the guy that Marly thinks about when she goes home.
All I thought was lock the door to that office! Come on! Lets just say, Rick preforms very well as one of the main characters in an Adult book. Over and over. :-)
Would I recommend this book? That is a yes. Sometimes I did want to slap Marly into next Tuesday. But I think it was my inner bad girl talking. And all of you ladies will agree. He is delectable.
I would give this book a 4.5. Sometimes you just have to read a book that makes you blush. And this book will do just that.

EXCERPT:
“I want to kiss
you again. I don’t want to wait on that.” He barely had the car in park before
he placed his hands on either side of my face and drew me close to him. His
lips felt like velvety pillows. The kiss was softer, slower, but no less
passionate than our first kiss. He coaxed his way into my mouth. He explored
with a profound depth while he caressed my face and neck with his fingertips.
He worked his way down my jawline to my neck, punctuating each progression with
soft, wet kisses. He pulled away, but continued stroking my hair with his
fingers, staring at me intently. The sounds of our rapid breathing permeated
the air. “Don’t masturbate.” The words were the most shocking I’d ever heard.
My hand shot up
and struck his face in a hasty reaction to the command. I slapped Rick. I
didn’t slap him for the kiss. I loved the kiss. I smacked him for telling me
not to masturbate. Surely, he wasn’t taking away my only form of relief.
He rubbed his
check and I immediately felt guilty. “I can’t believe you slapped me. Are you
into some S&M shit I need to know about?”
“No…sorry, but
are you fucking crazy? First you tell me we have to wait until the results,
then you kiss me like that and now you’re saying don’t masturbate?”
He grinned
impishly and pulled me towards him again. “I won’t either. When I finally fuck
you, it’ll be worth it. It will make everything so much more…epic. Do you know
what I mean?”
“No,” I replied, pouting.About MK Schiller:
This is
my debut novel, and I’m thrilled to share it with you. I describe
myself as a hopeless romantic in a hopelessly pragmatic world. By day, I don a
magic cape, calculator (sometimes an abacus), and an assortment of gel pens for
my work in the world of finance. But by night, I sit by the warm glow of my
computer monitor, and think of stories that will warm the heart, and cheer the
soul.
There
is nothing better than the intimate journey and ultimate satisfaction that only
a swoon-worthy romance can provide, especially if there are a few laughs along
the way. Although writing is my passion, I am a reader first and
enjoy nothing more than curling up with a good book and some tasty Italian (the
food, of course!). I hope you will enjoy my work and please drop me a line. I’d
love to hear from you.
