OMG...Undeniable...WTH!!!

If you saw my last post from Friday you know I was very nervous about reading this book. All the reviews gave it 5 stars and were raving about it but I was like seriously...they are 18 years apart and he met her when she was 5!!! EWWWWW!!! What the HELL???? So I went ahead and read it...

Synopsis:

Eva is the daughter of the leader of a motorcycle club. This the serious criminal, crazy everything you could imaging happening happens club. The guys have their old ladies and their club whores and are into all kinds of illegal action. Duece is the leader of another MC. The book starts out when Eva is 5 and visiting her father in prison. Duece is there too visiting his father. They meet and he thinks she is a cute kid. Shortly after this meeting Duece's father is killed in prison and he takes over the MC. The book goes on to show how Eva and Duece run into each other as she grows up.  Duece is protective of her from day 1. He beats some kids that are talking about her and disrespecting her when she is 12. Eva has basically been in love with Duece from day 1. Life continuously throws them together just to go back and rip them apart.

My Review:

UMMMMM....WOW...I honestly could not get over the age difference at first. I was not liking the book adn the fact that he realizes when she is 12 that she is going to be gorgeous. It was creepy but after she gets older I didn't really think about it anymore. This book has a lot of crazy in it so once she turns 18 the least of your worries are the fact that she is so much younger than him. I can honestly say that I kind of love and hate Duece with a passion. He is the BIGGEST jerk and such a douchebag...but at the same time you know he loves her and wants her but can't overcome his past and the way he was raised. I did not deal well with the fact that everyone was constantly cheating. I mean every guy in this book had a wife and 37 whores...WTH??? I almost tried to stop reading b/c I couldn't believe some of what Duece did. You also have to know that Eva has to deal with Frankie too. He is beyond CRAZY and pretty much from the first moment...I hated him.

I totally understand why everyone was giving this book such rave reviews. I text Darra so many times on Saturday about this book.  I think that I would have to give it a 4.4 out of 5 stars. I recommend it. It is one of those books that you read and are just like I can't believe I am reading this...I can't stop!!!

The next book in the series is out. It is called Unbeautifully. It is about Danny and Ripper. I am sure that I will read it at some point but I also feel like I can't right now. Undeniable kinda took a lot out of me and I am not sure that I am ready to jump right back into that world.

Go get the books!!!

Undeniable By Madeline Sheehan

I am actually really nervous.....

Ok...so this book was recommended on some of the blogs that I follow...after reading the synopsis and some of the reviews I am REALLY nervous about reading it.  I have not seen a bad review but I don't know if I can get past the age difference...so this weekend I have a TON of books to read but I think I am going to make sure that I get to this one. So let me know if you have read it and what you thought...I listen to what others say and think (otherwise I would not have bought this book).

Synopsis:

Warning: This is not a typical, sappy love story. This is an all-consuming, soul-crushing, tear-your-heart-into-pieces story. It’s intense, gritty and raw, dark and disturbing, and it doesn’t happen overnight. This is an epic love story that knows no boundaries and has no time limits. It grows and develops—with hurt, sacrifice, and heartache—over the span of a lifetime. Eva Fox is the princess of the Silver Demons Motorcycle Club. Growing up with bikers in the club lifestyle is all that she knows. When she’s a young girl, Eva meets the reason for her existence. Deuce West is the sexy, biker bad-ass of the Hell’s Horsemen Motorcycle Club. Like Eva, he was born and raised in the club—but that’s where the similarities end. Their first meeting is innocent, but as Eva matures into a woman, their chance reunions evolve into a fit of lust and love. Fate continues to bring them together time and time again, but their twisted journey is filled with pain, betrayal, and bloodshed that could tear them apart. Eva sees in Deuce what he cannot see in himself—a man worthy of love—and Eva spends her lifetime proving to him that her undeniable love is the one thing he can’t live without. This is Eva and Deuce’s story. It wasn’t easy. Nothing worth doing ever is. And love is worth everything

Damaged by H M Ward

Synopsis:

Life sucks. And, as soon as Sidney picks up the pieces something always knocks her back onto her butt. It's never pretty, but this time is different. This time pretty isn't even the right word.

Peter is the personification of perfection. It's like he fell off his angel perch in purgatory, because let's face it--any guy that hot has got to be naughty. He was probably sent here to ruin her life.

Peter is beyond beautiful with his sexy blue eyes, dark hair, and toned body. Add in his charming wit and Peter is everything Sidney ever wanted in a man, but when things get hot and heavy Peter shows her the door. Sidney takes the walk of shame and leaves. It's the end of the worst blind date ever. Her life couldn't possibly reach higher levels of suckage, but it does.

The next morning everything comes crashing down. The insanely hot guy from last night, the one that saw her half naked, is teaching at the front of the class room.

Review:

So this book started out pretty funny. You have the awkward first meeting and then the even more awkward moment when they realize that Peter is her teacher.  You get to see how they try to have a professional relationship but basically they would be great friends if circumstances were different.  You also get to see that Sidney is fighting more demons than you first realize. You also get to see how Peter is too.

I liked this book. I am ready to see what happens in the next book. I like Peter and I like that he realizes his mistakes and tries to make up for them. There were also some seriously funny parts. One scene had me literally LOLing to the point of bothering the other person in the room.  It was also just jacked up enough for me to be saying WTF??? Are people really like that?  I would give this book a 3.9.  Go get it and read it...the next book Damaged 2 is coming out on June 24.

I honestly think I will be reading more by H.M. Ward when I hava a little more time.

The Blackstone Affair

I have read the first two books by Raine Miller and loved them. Read both the first 2 books, Naked and All In. Excited for the 3rd book, Eyes Wide Open. I have heard it is the best of the three. You will love Ethan from the beginning. I have never read a book that the guy was so forthcoming about his feelings for a girl. Readers-check out the first two books before the 3rd book comes out next Tuesday!
Also, have another picture of David Gandy. Ethan was described how David looks down to the T.

OH MY HOLY HELLER!!!

You may or may not know by now that Darra and I LOVE the Heller Series by JD Nixon. These books are so AWESOME it is not even funny. They are actually really funny and Tilly is just kind of a bumbling idiot but I would love to BE HER when I grow up!  Seriously! She gets into so much trouble and tries so HARD to get out of it but it usually just escalates and Heller has to step in...mmmmmmmmm Heller.  So Heller is LARGER than LIFE and I LOVE HIM!!! You have to read the books to understand the just OMG of him. I can't find words or pictures or anything....

So the point of this post...JD Nixon has been working on the 5th Heller book for a while and she posted the FIRST CHAPTER to her website!!!! I am so EXCITED! I can't wait for this book!  Normal Tilly antics from PAGE 1.  If you have not read this series...GET ON IT!!! JD doesn't charge for her first book so go to Barnes and Nobles, Amazon or Smashwords and get it. Just search HELLER!!!

My love for Ethan Blackstone

I put this up on our main page, but have to share the love with my Adults Only page. The Blackstone Affairs. Reading it right now. I am on the second book called All In. Ethan is absolutely perfect. The description of him, exactly down my alley. Sunny likes the blonde hair, blue eyed country boys. But I have a spot in my heart for those dark hair, green or blue eye guys. So the only man that compares to Ethan...David Gandy. Yes, he is by far the #1 book boyfriend for everyone. I don't care. He can take me away to London anytime.

Will have my review out this weekend. Be on the lookout!

Vanilla On Top by C.J. Ellisson

I had never read anything by C.J. Ellisson before this book and I will tell you that I am going to be putting her on my authors to read. This book was awesome. I would recommend it.

Heather is very shy and basically lets everyone walk all over her. She has been doing her boss' job for the last couple of years along with her own. She is not bitter towards her boss...she actually likes him and does not want anyone to find out she has been doing his work. She gets talked (forced) into speed dating with her best friend. She meets Tony and he takes a call during their 2 mins to get to know each other--HOW RUDE! Tony is a career driven guy who is always in control and wants to have someone tell him what to do just once. So Heather does...keep in mind Tony was "forced" into the speed dating too. Heather and Tony begin to work out a "relationship" only to find out that things are more complicated than they realize. I don't want to give anything else away so....GO GET THE BOOK AND READ IT! :)

I think I really liked Heather b/c she finally decides to just take charge and even though it is a struggle for her she realizes that she likes who she is when does it. You can tell that she is trying to figure out who she really wants to be as opposed to who she has become. Tony...sigh...I mean how can you not just sigh...love him. He made my list...I mean who wouldn't love him. I like that he sits back and lets Heather take control and tell him what to do. It is awesome. I love dual POV books and this is one. Again I would totally recommend this book.
