Darra's Review:

All I can say is Sawyer is definitely memorable. When the book started he was over the top notch A-hole. Don’t get me wrong, I felt for him. I would be too. But Emmett comes along and he is in a new world. It was night and day. Somehow you end up falling in love with both sides of him.
Emmett only thinks the best of everyone. Despite having little to her name, she is the perfect girl for Sawyer.
Overall, I loved the book. Loved the characters and the story. The story is funny too.
Fantastic plot and a must read. Can’t ask for more.
I give the book a 4.5.

Excerpt

Sighing, I wrap a towel around my waist and open the door, ready to try and be at least a level of cordial I know is only right. “Listen, can I-“ “She’s gone.” I look up, startled by Laney’s voice and shocked to see her sitting on my bed. Thank God I put on a towel. “Where’d she go?” “Home I guess,” she shrugs, “I didn’t ask. I heard the front door slam and got up to see what the hell. Since you’re here and she’s not, I’m assuming it was her.” How did I not hear the door slam? Not that I would have chased her. “Alright, she left. But what’re you doing in here?” She stands, grabbing some shorts off my floor and throwing them at me. “Go put those on and we’ll talk. Since I’m up,” she shoots me an evil glare. I head back in the bathroom to change, and stay in there, locking the door. I am over six feet tall and lift almost every day, and yes, I’m scared to face Laney. Not only is she a hellcat when she wants to be, but I don’t want to see the disgust or disappointment in her eyes. She’s one of my best friends, even more so after becoming roommates, and her opinion means a lot to me. “Get out here,” she yells when she finally realizes I must be stalling. “Take it like a man.” Well, I might as well go out or she’ll undoubtedly come in here, kicking in the door or taking if off the hinges in what I have no doubt would take her less than five minutes. I open it and she pats the bed beside her. “Come sit down. We’re doing this now.” I hesitantly take a seat beside her, my knee bouncing as I wait for her to speak. “First, and of the upmost importance, you know I call my father ‘daddy.’ So hearing your visitors scream it repeatedly in the middle of the night freaks me out. I wake up thinking I’m in some bad Lifetime movie.” Fighting my smirk I agree. "Okay, got it." "Second," she stands and tucks a pillow between my headboard and the wall, "leave that there." She once again sits down beside me. "School and game nights, booty call curfew is eleven. That work for you?" "Yeah," I sigh and run my hands along my head, wishing I had some hair to pull. "It won't happen again Gidge, I'm sorry." She places a hand on my shoulder with a small smile. "Don't be sorry, this is your house too and we hadn't talked about it. Now we have, so we're all good. Any rules you want to put in place?" "Nah, I'm easy." "Made crystal clear by the parade of women coming in and out of here." She laughs and scoots away quickly, ducking the pillow I grab and swing at her head. “Speaking of which, been busier than usual lately. You trying for Guiness or Gonorrhea?" Here we go - what she really wants to talk about.

She uses me in every way imaginable. How does she see me? I am her perpetual one-night stand. No strings, no attachments. Just mind-numbing sex ... for her anyway. — Greer Feeling like the life is being choked out of her in the small town of Anaconda, Montana, Denver Dempsey craves the escape that college offers … even if that means leaving her “best friend with benefits” and looking for a new way to forget. Thinking she's found the perfect hookup in Ransom, Denver's outlook on college is bright. That is, until Greer shows up looking for a second chance, and Ransom's interest turns to hatred. Love. Hate. Triangle. Who's using who?

Sunny's Review:

So at first I was like there is no way I am going to like this book. I was thinking Denver is not a good girl and she is totally using Greer who you love from the first. Ransom sounds like a typical college boy and uses girls just like Denver uses boys. I was not planning on giving this book a good review at all...but Lynetta surprised me. I realized that Denver is not what she seems and is actually a really strong girl that has had to raise herself. You also start to see that Greer is not as Golden as Denver thinks he is. There is a lot more going on in this book than just rodeo, parties and sleeping around.

I really ended up liking this book and it does deal with some issues that college girls do have to deal with and a lot of times it is confusing. I recommend you go get this book and I am looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book. I am giving this book 4 stars.

Synopsis:

Refuse to compromise.

Hudson Winters is in control of every aspect of his world. From his earliest
memories, he's been driven to succeed. Starting from nothing, he built an
empire based on opportunity and intimidation.

Personally, professionally, and sexually - he ensures the reins are always
in his hands.

He never counted on a woman like Gabriella Hernandez.

From the moment she steps into his building, she proceeds to shake up his
entire existence. Her very presence causes him to question everything about
himself, his relationships, and his future.

This story features characters readers fell in love with in "The Barter
System" and gives you a chance to sit down and catch up. Prepare to be
twisted up and knocked around a bit.  Another hot, emotional read from
Always the Good Girl, Shayne McClendon.

NOTE: This story contains explicit sexual scenes and language and is
intended for mature audiences only. Do not read this novel if intense sexual
situations offend you.

Sunny's REVIEW:

This book is definitely ADULT. Um WOW is what I have to say about it. You have Gabby who moves across the country and is scammed out of everything she has but she works hard and takes care of herself. She lucks out that Hudson helps her (she does not know at first) and meets several very good people when she first gets to New York. She could have been a lot worse off but luckily everyone is very helpful. I like that even if people had not helped her she would have done whatever it took to help herself. Hudson comes off as a condescending jerk who thinks he is better than everyone else. You do get to see where he came from and he is really not like that. Life has harden him but he doesn't see the goodness in himself so he does not show it to others. Natalia is Hudson's best friend and oldest friend.  She knows that Hudson is a good person but she does not think that they are good for each other.

I like that this book doesn't have everyone in love and HEA in a couple of months. This book spans almost a year (or maybe longer) and it takes the whole time for everything to develop.  I am giving this book 4 stars. It is a good story and I would like to see what happens next but I am not sure if I am happy with the way this one ended up so far. I am pretty sure plenty of people would be ecstatic with what happened but I don't know....I don't know what I wanted but this wasn't it.  Maybe its good that authors don't always write stories the way I want it to be. It makes me think of situations in a different way. I recommend you go get this book and tell me what you think!!!

Cyrus by MJ Fields

~Cyrus~
Truth
I know who I am. I’m Cyrus Steel, son, brother, uncle, friend to people I choose to bring into my life.
Truth
I could fuck up anyone I want.
Truth
I know the devastation I can and have caused.
Truth
I can’t change the past, but I have chosen how to live now.
Truth
I like to fuck, and I will do a chick better than she’s ever been done. Hard and wild. No more than three hook ups. No expectations, no one gets hurt. As long as she agrees …it’s on.
One of my favorite tattoo’s bridges the V, and it says Truth.
A constant reminder of who I was and who I am now.

~Tara~
I wasn’t sure I knew how or even if I should tell him there was no one who loved me. Tony was the last person to say those words to me and he hadn’t meant it. He just wanted to use me.
That’s what this beautiful man underneath me, showed me today. He hadn’t used me, he didn’t even know me. But he thought I was beautiful, and he was nice to me. Tony was wrong about him, and even though I never want to see him again, I wish I could tell him just how wrong he was.

Can truth be altered? Can truth be seen when walls are built for protection, for self preservation? Will self doubt and years of pain cloud two hearts from finding their truth?

Sunny's Review:

If you have not read the Men of Steel series you really should. MJ Fields has created an awesome family of guys who are wild but loyal. Jase and Carly's story was really good but I think I like Cyrus way more than Jase. He takes his commitments seriously and when he says he is taking care of something or someone he does it. Tara was interesting. She grew up in foster care and was released into the world with nothing. No family or friends. She met Tony and he was horrible to her while convincing her that he loved her.  I did like that Tara tried to take care of herself and was not automatically letting Cyrus take care of her.

I am giving this book 4 out of 5 stars. Go get it and enjoy!!!

Hungry --I was so fucking hungry for her sweet milk I dragged her to the bottom of the bed and threw her knees over my shoulders. She sat up and grabbed my hair, pushing her hot wet snatch harder against my face.
She was shaking all over which was kind of hot. Not this time, this shit was mine. I wrapped my arms around her legs supporting that little peach of an ass, and stood. She held on tight as I pushed her back against the wall and fucked her with my tongue and sucked her little nub until she screamed and dug into my back. Her body trembled as I continued and she began to plead for mercy. I slid that hot drenched little cunt down my face rubbing my stubble against her thighs and slowly down to the floor.
“Oh my God,” she panted.
“Birdie that was just a taste,” and I’d never tasted anything so fucking sweet in my life.
I pulled my shirt off, and her eyes looked over me. For a moment I’d forgotten she’d never seen me shirtless. Hell yeah, my body was hard but she was checking out the art. Her little fingers traced the piece on my rib and she looked up at me, “It hurts.”
I couldn’t think or speak or have any desire to explain just how bad, not now, not ever.
“A little, but you wanna know what will make it feel all better?”  I picked her little ass up and laid her down and shed my pants.
Her eyes widened when she caught a glimpse of my hard cock, yeah that’s right, fucking hung. And hell no that’s not arrogance--- that’s truth. Just like it said across the V. She fingered that as well tracing the letters in awe and wonder.
“Birdie, you gonna play with my ink, or give me a little somethin’?”
A smile crept across her face as she looked up at me. I wasn’t use to this shit, this curiosity and when they say it kills the cat they’re fucking wrong, it kills the cock.
“It’s real big,” she grabbed right under the head and I groaned as the electricity of her touch pulsed throughout me.
“You wanna say hello?”
“I wanna kiss it.”
“If you’re waiting for permission, you’ve already got it, do with it what you want.”
She was killing me with the little pecks up and then back down my shaft. She looked up at me and her tongue darted out and licked from my balls to just beneath my head and then back down. I was no bitch but I am pretty fucking sure I was going to cry if she didn’t suck my tip.
She looked up at me again and smiled, “You taste good.”
And now I was gonna blow it all over her face, one more word and I was a fucking goner.
“Suck my cock Birdie,” and she did.
Her tongue circled around the tip and I knelt on the bed in front of her. Those green eyes never left mine she watched me as she went up and down my length slowly then fast and then slow again. When she sucked hollowing her cheeks and moaned on the way up I pulled back because I wasn’t about to blow my wad yet. I wanted in.
I pushed her back and sucked on her left titty and I worked it as I rubbed her drenched little pussy. She pushed against my hand slowly and I eased a finger inside her tight little twat. I was gonna have to work at this, fuck she was tight. I shoved another finger in and she cried out, “Yes.”
And her hips began to meet my hand, “Kiss me, please kiss me.”
“Fuck yeah,” I started at her tits and made my way slowly up her collar bone. And across her jaw as my fingers continued working her hard. She was softening, stretching and soaking my fucking hand. I couldn’t wait for her to put a choke hold around my cock.
She turned her head towards me and nudged my face with her nose I looked up and she grabbed my lip with her teeth. I opened and her tongue rubbed my lips, hot and sweet. I pulled back and wrapped mine around hers slowly licking her lips and then tasting her. Damn, damn, damn. She tasted as sweet here. I was licking inside her mouth: tasting her as she tasted me.
When she reached down and stroked me, asking for me, I almost wasn’t ready. Kissing her was hot as hell and I didn’t want to stop. I rolled over taking her with me, on top of me. I held one hand behind her head as I continued tasting her and I fumbled in the nightstand for a condom. I put it in without breaking the seal of our lips.
I rolled back over careful not to crush her and reluctantly pulled my mouth from hers. I wanted to hear her screaming my name when I crashed into her. Holding my body above her I rubbed my cock against the warmth of her opening and pushed slowly. I had to work real hard. But as hard as I was working to get inside her, she was working her little hips, too. Her eyes were sealed tight and her lip was between her teeth.
I bent down and kissed her, rolling my hips as I stretched her. Her hands held tight to the sides of my head as she whimpered against my mouth. I wasn’t sure how much longer I could take it before I just nailed her. She winced a bit and I pulled back but not too far-- I was sure as hell not going to retreat now. I reached between us and felt that little ball of nerves and slowly, lightly rubbed it. She pushed against me and I swear to God I was bottoming out but when she thrust again it was so fucking hot. She moaned and whispered in my ear, “Roll over.”
I wasn’t much of a bottom guy but seeing her little ass perched on me was something I couldn’t resist.

I am a very new self published writer. I will tell you I have always had a very vivid imagination. Starting at age 3 (as it states in my Baby Book).

Sigma was my very first love (imaginary boyfriend). He lived about fifteen miles from my childhood home, (a farm). I took him chicken noodle soup every night on one of our families snowmobiles, (Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring). Apparently he was very ill and "Thank God" I was able to take care of him.

Next was my very first self publishing gig. At eight my cousins and I (and yes I was the president) wrote a newsletter and sold it to our family members.

Years later I decided to put it back into print to entertain my cousin as she was on an aircraft carrier on 9/11 (Kick ass cousin BTW) and very far away from home during a very scary time for our country, (protecting our butts).

Fast forward to 2012. I read 50 shades and thought, I can do that, (meaning writing). I have two complete series The Love Series, and Wrapped. I have two new series Burning Souls and Men of Steel. Ten books in 13 months. CrAzY and wonderful.

I love love! ( I would love to reference Pinks new song here, however I am not sure if that would cause copyright issues.)I also tend to enjoy watching people grow and change with self realization and moments of clarity that just sneak up behind you and smack you in the head. I love people and have always been able to see both sides of a story. Each person that comes into our life leaves us with something it is what we choose to do with it that helps us grow.

I live in central New York in the middle of nowhere and am surrounded by family and friend most the time. I run a small business out of my home and spend time reading and doing the typical Mommy things. Our house is full of pets and friends and noise ninety percent of the time, and I would have it no other way.
I love people, music, laughter, hugs, and books.

Darra's Review:

When I read the first book of the series, Only for You, I truly felt that Sam needed her own book. Genna does a great job with making the reader understand every emotion each character is feeling. What Sam has to overcome is unbelievable and with her recovery and all the craziness that happens after what Heath did to her, it keeps you glued to the book.
You get more of Griffin as well. I will say I did love Hunter. However I knew the little that I did read of Griffin in the first book, I would love him too. And has exceeded my imagination. Let me tell you, perfection is the best way to explain who he is. Leaves these real world guys we know up in smoke! Together they have a strong connection and despite all of what happens, Griffin never stops loving Sam. Talk about a rollercoaster of crazies after her. Sam gets trapped into! Nothing got in their way.

I would rate this book a 4.2. Great follow-up book. Sometimes I have problems with reading a second book that has one of a side character from first book of the series, but I had no problem with this. The characters were just as strong and amazing as what we got before.

Darra's Review:

Kahlen Aymes details the characters in much more detail than many I have read before. You get a real idea of who they(Angel and Alex) are before the two become close. From the beginning, you know they were meant for each other. Both tough, successful and confident. So as you imagine the relationship becomes intense quickly. Angel is smart and I am really looking forward to find out what happens in book 2. So many unanswered questions leaving  me asking for more.

I enjoyed the book completely. It flowed from page to page.

I would rate the book a 4.3. It hit my Romance(Adult) fix! Check it out!

When his girlfriend-of-convenience calls into Angel’s program, he is furious with the show’s host who doles out (what he considers) blind advice, without knowing all the facts… and he decides to give her a piece of his mind, and his side of the story!

When Angel informs Alex he’s the one in need of a much-deserved lesson, all hell breaks loose as these two type-A personalities battle it out for control over minds and hearts, and yes, in bed. Not only are they fighting each other at every turn, but they are also struggling to uphold the convictions they each live by.

It’s unclear who is stronger, but both must discover that to get what they desperately want, they may have to give a little… or a lot.
